Rosewood Hub

This is open to all active volunteers with Nottinghamshire Healthcare. It runs fortnightly on Fridays at Rosewood when there’s not a Volunteers Opportunity Meeting. The Hub is a time when volunteers attend the Rosewood Centre and offer each other peer support and catch up with updates and opportunities with the Volunteering Team. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, this is a really great time to come along and meet some volunteers in a casual setting.

Music:

Between 10:30am-12:30pm, some volunteers often get together to practice playing music together. This is to help prepare for when they play to patients within services. They’re always eager to welcome new people from any skill level to join in whether they can play an instrument, are learning, want to sing or just want to listen in. We have a few spare instruments on site that people can use or try out. This is an informal group that people can attend as and when they can

Gardening:

We have a few volunteers who enjoy spending time tending the garden at Rosewood, but we’re always keen to have new people come along and help out where they can. We have a mix of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers in our well-established little oasis.

If it’s your first time attending or you’re planning on returning after a break, please get in touch with a member of the team so we’re be able to welcome you.

PCDU Involvement Group @ DMH Involvement Centre

Planned Development of the Psychiatric Clinical Decisions Unit Group (PCDU)

The PCDU is a new approach in Adult Mental Health Services in the Trust. The purpose of the PCDU is to allow for an extended period of time for assessment (24-48 hours) as to whether an admission to hospital is required. Where this is the case a more purposeful admission can be prepared which can lead to it being of more benefit and potentially shorter. Where an admission is not required this will allow for a care plan to be developed which can include the patient, carer and family and friends and support available in the community.

If you’re interested in being part of this steering group, please let a member of the team know.
